Frequently Asked Questions

Are you licensed and insured? You bet your bubbly we are. All of our bartenders are TIPS certified, and Shake & Tell is fully licensed with both general and liquor liability insurance—because serving cocktails should be fun, but never sloppy. We keep it classy and covered, so you can sip back and relax.

What is a 'dry hire'? A dry hire means we provide everything except the alcohol. That includes our expert bartenders, satellite bar setup (where needed), mixers, ice, garnish basics, tools, and all the shake-and-serve magic you need. You bring the booze, and we’ll do the rest—no stress, no mess, just a perfectly customized bar experience with your name (and your favorite bottle) on it. Think of it as BYOB… but make it fabulous.

Is gratuity included? Gratuity isn’t included—but it is appreciated (our bartenders pour with love, after all). A tip jar will be set up at the bar, and a standard gratuity of $1–$2 per guest is always a kind gesture. If you’d prefer to handle tipping differently, we’re happy to shake things up—just let us know!

What is your cancellation policy? We get it—plans change. Cancel with at least 60 days’ notice for a full refund, or reschedule at no charge up to 30 days in advance (subject to availability, of course). Cancellations made 15–29 days out will receive a 50% refund on the deposit. Less than 14 days’ notice? Sadly, the deposit’s gone—but we’ll still raise a glass in your honor.

Where do you provide your services? Are you willing to travel? We Shake & Tell all over Gainesville and the surrounding sass zones! Outside our typical service area? We’re still game — just add $1 per mile from the Alachua County line and we’ll bring the party to your postal code!
